Is it smart to move to Hawaii?

I have been very interested in Hawaii for a while now. I have some family out there. I am a junior in High school. I am looking for colleges out there and I don't know what Island is the most preferable. I like Maui, Kauai and Oahu but I obviusly have to choose one.. And find a college. My plan would be to find roomates and attend a college and work on the side. I just don't know what life is like out there and what island would fit me best. So please give me a word of advice :)
