A text similar to 'Lolita' to compare with?

I need to compare 'Lolita' with another similar text for my A level english Literature coursework. It needs to be a text that explores similar themes, and is similar in some respects- but it can be in a fairly obscure way. Has anyone got any suggestions of books that would work well with this? It also needs to be a substantial text (not a children's or young adult's novel) If you could give me any suggestions, and then give a brief reason why they are worth comparing that would be great :)
